Wagner Moura foi indicado ao Gotham Awards 2025. Esta será a 35ª edição do prêmio que celebra o cinema independente. O brasileiro concorre na categoria de melhor performance – aqui não há divisão entre homens e mulheres – por sua atuação em O Agente Secreto, de Kleber Mendonça Filho. O longa também concorre em melhor roteiro original.
Moura está na disputa do prêmio ao lado de nomes como Jennifer Lawrence (“Morra, Amor”), Ethaw Hawk (“Blue Moon”) e Amanda Seyfried (“O Testamento de Ann Lee”).
O campeão de indicações foi Uma Batalha Após a Outra, de Paul Thomas Anderson. com seis chances de vitória: melhor filme, diretor, roteiro adaptado, performance de coadjuvante (Benicio del Toro e Teyana Taylor) e performer revelação (Chase Infiniti).
Logo em seguida, com quatro indicações, vem Se Eu Tivesse Pernas, Eu Te Chutaria concorrendo em filme, direção, roteiro (de Mary Bronstein) e performance (Rose Byrne),
